How to Win Back Cold Leads in Modus (Lead Recovery)

Lead Recovery is where "leads gone quiet" becomes an actual action instead of a scroll through the CRM looking for them. It segments who's slipping away, nudges some of them automatically for free, and turns the rest into a one-click retention campaign.

    Set your "gone quiet" window

Pick 7d+ / 14d+ / 30d+ at the top to define how long since last activity counts as cold. Every tile below — recoverable leads, value at risk, won back, recovered value — recalculates for that window.

Turn on auto-nudge for the cheapest recovery

With Auto-nudge cold leads on, the moment a lead goes quiet after the agent's reply, it sends a short follow-up 2–3 hours later — while the 24-hour WhatsApp window is still open, so it's free. It tries up to two touches per lead, on the schedule you set in Settings → Auto follow-ups, and pauses overnight in the lead's own timezone.

  3. 03

Add a win-back offer for the last touch

Tick Use it and write a one-line offer — a discount code, a limited-time nudge. The AI relays this line word for word on the second touch only; it never invents a discount on its own.

  4. 04

Launch a segment as a campaign

Leads auto-nudge can't revive roll into segments below — Abandoned orders (started but never paid) and Interested, gone quiet (showed real intent, then stalled) are the two that matter most. Click Launch recovery campaign on either to send an approved WhatsApp template to that exact segment in one click.

Good to know

  • Auto-nudge only works inside the free 24-hour window — once that closes, recovering a lead needs an approved template, which is exactly what the segment-launch campaigns are for.

  • "Recovered value" only counts revenue from leads that were actually marked Dead and came back — it's a real win-back number, not new leads that happened to close normally.

Questions we get asked

How is this different from a Follow-Up Sequence?

A follow-up sequence is a standing rule you configure once and forget. Lead Recovery is the live, working view of who's cold right now, with a one-click launch — it's where you go to actually act, not just to configure automation.

Will the AI ever invent its own discount to win someone back?

No — it only ever uses the exact win-back offer line you wrote, and only on the second touch. It never improvises pricing.

What happens to a lead once it's recovered?

It moves out of "Dead" into "Recovered" — a distinct pipeline state, so your team can see win-backs as their own number instead of them disappearing back into "New".
